Chapter Fifty-Nine

TGI Bees (Author's note: A community lot downloaded from the Exchange) was a newly-built sports bar in downtown Hidden Springs. Tourists liked to come in after or before going to the ski resorts and the winter festival. The locals also liked its quirky, relaxed atmosphere.

Alexandra, Patrick, and AJ were regulars here. They'd come in on their lunch breaks and blow off steam by shooting arcade hoops and watching sports on the big screen.

They'd even take in a few spirits every now and again, although Patrick wasn't exactly enamored of the spirits.

Alexandra decided to broach the subject of college with AJ over arcade hoops. "Sims Institute of Technology (SIT) is offering scholarships for advanced study. I'm thinking about applying."
"That's nice," replied AJ while the ball swished through the hoop.
"I think you should, too."
AJ shook his head while another ball effortlessly went through the net.
"Come on, what have you got to lose? Besides, I'm almost sure you'll get in." Alexandra stopped shooting to hand AJ a brochure from her pocket.

"At least think about it, seriously. I can't see any way you DON'T get in."
AJ managed a chuckle. "Between you and my mom, I don't know who's worse with this college stuff."
