Chapter One Hundred Seven
The rain came down in torrents very early one morning three Simdays later. Alexandra heard thunder, but it was a different sort of thunder. She saw lightning, but it was a different kind of lightning.
Grabbing her umbrella, she ran excitedly out of the mansion she and her twin sister were in the process of renovating. Then, her eyes fell to a strange metal object near the mailbox. The portal, she thought. Dr. Relevart mentioned a portal...
Her curiosity piqued, Alexandra began to inspect the portal, and indeed that was the source of the strange lightning and thunder that woke her up.
Suddenly, Dr. Relevart emerged from it, a little dazed and confused, his head none the worse for wear.
Even though Alexandra had been primed for this by Dr. Relevart, still his appearance in her front yard took her by surprise.
"Dr. Relevart!"
"We meet again, Alexandra. Although, with this weather, it isn't under the best of circumstances."
Alexandra laughed. "It's Hidden Springs. I'm used to it."
"It's time, Alexandra. Now, I strongly suggest you go into the house and say your goodbyes."
"W-w-will I be gone forever?"
"Only you can answer that question, Alexandra. In my opinion, you'll be gone as long as it takes for you to gain the knowledge you need to benefit your fellow Sims."
"But -- before I forget -- I have something for you. This is the Almanac of Time. It is a very powerful tool, which, in the wrong hands can lead to disaster."
