Chapter Sixty-Two

The twins' limousine returned to their rental house for the evening after the meet and greet, and they began preparations for their first day of classes.

The next morning they woke up, as usual, and ate breakfast and prepared to go to their classes. This time though, they did a quick review of their study material -- Alexandra going the traditional route with her textbook while Anastasia used her new smartphone.

In addition, Anastasia did some light sketching in her sketchpad, which was provided free of charge by the university. Her mother couldn't hide these.

Lucian hadn't returned to Hidden Springs yet so she decided to use him as a muse.

"You crack me up sometimes, Lucian," Anastasia chuckled.
"That's my job," reminded Lucian.

Lucian adjusted his position several times while Anastasia continued to draw. "What's this for again?"
"Figure drawing. I'm used to drawing buildings but not people."
"Oh. I see."

"How do you like it?" Anastasia asked when she showed Lucian the finished product.

"Um, it's... it's... interesting."
"Well, you inspired it." Anastasia managed a grin.
"See, I'm useful at something."

Meanwhile, Alexandra played a little of Madden 13 before classes.

Anastasia's fine arts professor was a woman named Madeleine Noetal (Author's note: her name looks like it might be pronounced know-it-all, which was probably deliberate by Maxis/EA).

"Good of you to join us, Anastasia," droned Ms. Noetal after Anastasia walked in ten minutes late, "better not make it a habit."

Anastasia opened her notebook and decided to take notes from the lecture. She hadn't taken notes in a lecture since she was back at Smuggsworth.

As Ms. Noetal drew a diagram on the whiteboard, Anastasia struggled to pay attention, even though the guy sitting next to her had already dozed off to sleep.

With trepidation, Anastasia raised her hand for a question. "So, what does this diagram show exactly?"

"One of the main principles of architectural design is, 'does it fit?' In other words, if the pieces don't fit you cannot put them together in any meaningful way."

After class, Anastasia left the lecture hall and waited for her limo to take her back to the rental house.
