Chapter Sixty-Five

Meanwhile, Anastasia was starting to get the hang of figure drawing. She was used to drawing buildings, not faces.

And when she wasn't at parties, she was getting ready FOR parties. A far cry from when she was in high school, when she was so painfully shy she stayed in her dorm room.

Her new friend from art class, Samantha Grey, was a member of Tri-Fruhm sorority and wanted her to pledge. Anastasia said she would think about it. At any rate, Anastasia was there almost every night.

Alexandra was at the sorority too but not nearly as often. In fact, on this night she stayed back at the rental house to tutor her classmate, Sasha Parks, who had arrived just as they'd planned to go to Samantha's party.

"Wow," Sasha exclaimed, "you guys live here?"
"Yep, just me and my twin sister."
"Are you -- are you the girls from the TV show? The one in the palace --"
Alexandra let out a sheepish grin. "Yep, that's us."
"You guys are royalty, what are you doing here?"
"Well, I can't speak for my sister but I'm here to get a tech degree."

Alexandra led Sasha through the double doors and they walked to the dining room table.

"Wow," Sasha exclaimed while looking around and setting her backpack down, "this is amazing. You guys make the girls at the sorority look like welfare cases. My sister Ruby is trying to get in at the sorority but the sorority doesn't take girls like us."
Alexandra was keen to change the subject. "So, um, what do you want to go over first?"
